The Shoremen will be a travel team program forming for the summer of 2008. Developmental teams will be forming this fall and will participate in two practices and attend two fall tournaments.

Tryouts for the summer team will be in November / December at Connecticut College.

The Shoremen will be forming teams for the following age groups in 2008: 16U, 14U, 12U

An 18U team will be forming in the summer of 2009.

Per NCAA Rules all participants must live within 50 miles of Connecticut College (New London, CT.)

Some of the goals of the Shoremen Program will be to:

• Provide a platform for the best players in the greater New London area to develop and sharpen their skills while receiving great instruction from College Coaches, Top HS Coaches and College Players.
• Enable local players to travel to tournaments and play against the best talent in the country.
• Create and foster a genuine sense of respect and camaraderie among the best players from local high schools and youth programs.
• Ultimately, when the 18U team is formed in 2009, The Shoremen program will serve as a source of exposure to college coaches for recruiting purposes.
• Finally, to instill in our players a passion and enthusiasm for the game of lacrosse, while helping them realize their full potential. The Shoremen program will aim to serve as a vehicle through which our players set goals and dreams of playing lacrosse at the highest level they possibly can.
